LinkedIn has released a list of the 20 highest paying jobs in America and if you're looking to change career paths, you might want to consider the healthcare industry. 

It turns out that all those years of medical school and training are worth it - 9 of the top ten highest paying occupations are in health and mental health.

Coming in at number one is cardiologist, which pays an average $356,000, followed by radiologist ($355K), anesthesiologist ($350K), surgeon ($338K) and medical director ($230K).

Pathologist ($225K) takes the six spot, then general physician ($220K), hospitalist ($220K), psychiatrist ($218K) and senior corporate counsel ($175K).

Rounding out the top 20 are staff software engineer, dentist, director of engineering, tax director, director of product management, patent attorney, anesthetist, senior software engineering manager, global marketing director and podiatrist.
