It may not be the only reason, but an 11-year old's letter may have landed the Jordan Leopold with the Minnesota Wild.

Monday morning KFAN acquired, from a member of the family, a hand written letter written by Jordan's daughter, Jordyn, writing to the Wild during their losing streak back in January politely asking the Minnesota Wild to bring her daddy home.

"Well, my dad is very lonely without his family," the letter reads. "We are living in Minnesota right now and I am lost without my dad and so is my mom, my 2 sisters and my brother."

Leopold, formerly a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets, was dealt to the Minnesota Wild before the deadline hit Monday afternoon.

It's unknown whether the letter really had anything to do with the deal that sent Justin Falk and a 5th round draft pick to Columbus for defensive depth, but it's great nonetheless.

"It has been since November and we can not take it any more," the letter continues. "To get to the point, the Wild have not been winning games and you lovely coaches are most likely mad about that but your team needs some more D men so can you please, please, please ask the Jackets if you guys can get him?!"

Well today, the Wild asked, and they brought daddy home!
