Quarterback Brennan Armstrong committed to P.J. Fleck and Minnesota in February, and the Shelby (OH) three-star recruit has never looked back on that decision.

Armstrong was at the Cleveland Opening Regional this past Sunday, and he talked abut his decision to pledge to the Gophers.

"When I looked at the university, the football program and how comfortable I was with Coach (P.J.) Fleck, it was an easy decision for me," Armstrong stated. "I only made one visit there, and I loved it right away."

"Coach Fleck and his staff are about to do good things there, and they're bringing a different culture to the program," he added. "It's time to start beating all the Big Ten teams in the division, and I want to be a part of that."

"I was offered by Western Michigan when Coach Fleck was there, so we had spoken before he got to Minnesota," he continued. "He said he knew I wouldn't go to Western, but Minnesota gives me a bigger opportunity. There was no reason for me to chase other offers, because I feel so comfortable with Minnesota."
