(St. Petersburg, FL) -- Aaron Hicks hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning as the Twins slugged their way past the Rays 9-7 at Tropicana Field. Kurt Suzuki and Sam Fuld each had three hits and drove in a combined five runs. Ricky Nolasco picked up the win, despite giving up 10 hits and six runs in six-plus innings. Glenn Perkins pitched a perfect ninth for his fifth save. Rays starter Erik Bedard was knocked out after four frames, allowing four runs on five hits and five walks to take the loss. David DeJesus cracked his first home run for the Rays, who collected 13 hits in a losing effort.
