Minneapolis, MN - With the 3pm cut deadline looming, reports departures are starting to trickle out through league sources already.
One such report hits close to home for the Minnesota Vikings who according to Mike Florio and ProFootballTalk.com have parted ways with veteran defensive tackle Fred Evans.
Evans has been a part of the Vikings defensive line since 2007 and started three games for the Vikings in 2013. The release of Evans opens the door for young linemen like Shamar Stephen to step into a depth role and have an impact this season. What Florio also mentions that is assures us is that nose tackle Linval Joseph is healthy and ready to be on the field for an impact in week 1.
