Minneapolis, MN - The secret's out! The Minnesota Vikings have something really special in rookie wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.

After finding few opportunities within the Vikings offensive game plan during the first half of the season, Patterson finished the year with a flurry including touchdowns in the final five games of the 2013 season. Sunday was the icing on the cake for Patterson who finished the day with 54 yards (and 1 TD) rushing and 31 yards (and 1 TD) receiving.

In addition to Patterson's big day, he concluded a big season that included four franchise records and one NFL record! Here is the least of accolades for Patterson this season...

- Most Kickoff Return Yards in a Season (Franchise Record) - 1,393 yards
- Kickoff Return Average (Franchise Record) - 32.4 yards per return
- Most Rushing Touchdowns by a Wide Receiver in a Season (Franchise Record/NFL Record) - 3 touchdowns
- Longest Scoring Run by a Wide Receiver (Franchise Record) - 50 yards

It's a sad thing to think about but you can't help but imagine what 2013 could have looked like for Patterson had he been ready to take to the field a little earlier this season? Despite the slow start, Patterson will likely receive some attention for Offensive Rookie of the Year but will likely fall short of Eddie Lacy and Giovanni Bernard in the final tally.

Still, there's a reason that all of the Cordarrelle Patterson jerseys sold out during the Christmas season. There's something special about the Vikings new #84 and it leaves fans clamoring for more from Patterson in 2014!
