It was a foregone conclusion, but now we have confirmation. Former Vikings running back Toby Gerhart has signed a 3-year deal to play with the Jacksonville Jaguars where he will have a good chance to fill in as the team's starting running back.

A runner up for the Heisman trophy during his days at Stanford, Gerhart had the unfortunate role of being stuck on the depth chart behind the best running back in the league. And Toby took it like a champ.

In four years with the Vikings, Gerhart compiled 1,305 yards and 5 touchdowns in very limited action.

With Jacksonville, Gerhart should get a chance to play lead fiddle and finally is faced with an opportunity to really show what he is capable of doing at the NFL level.
