Minneapolis, MN - Two weeks ago, Wild fans as took a look at the final weeks of the Minnesota Wild schedule and shuttered. Four games against four of playoff teams in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and Boston is not the way that a team would normally prefer to end the season when they are still fighting for their spot on the playoffs. Not the Wild.

Over the past two weeks, with the season on the line, the Wild claimed 7 of 8 points from those playoffs teams culminating with an overtime victory against the Boston Bruins, the top seed in the Eastern Conference. With two games left in the season, the Wild have already clinched the top wildcard seed in the Western Conference.

As it stands now, the Wild will square off against the second seeded Anaheim Ducks but with a few teams still reeling down the stretch it could end up being St. Louis, Colorado or San Jose in that spot as well.
