Wild Release Full 2014-2015 Schedule

After an exciting seven game series during the playoffs, the rivalry gets renewed early as the Minnesota Wild begin the 2014-15 season with two consecutive games against the Colorado Avalanche. They begin the season at home vs. Colorado on 10/9 and then head to Denver to face the Avs on 10/11.

This will be a ‘normal’ schedule for the NHL for the first time in three seasons as the lockout shortened the 2012-13 season to 48 games and the 2013-14 season had a long Olympic Break in February.

It will not be an easy start for Minnesota as 12 of their first 13 games are against teams that made the playoffs this past season.

The longest home stand will be five games: 3/27 thru 4/6 with the opponents being Calgary, Los Angeles, NY Rangers, Detroit, and Winnipeg.

The longest stretch of road games is four as well: 1/20 thru 2/1 with the opponents being Detroit, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver, though the All-Star Game in Columbus splits up the trip on 1/25.

Typically the Wild spend a lot of time on the road in the month of March because of the high school state tournament and college playoff action, but will play 8 of 14 games at the X in March.

Notable Games:

--The Wild will host the Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings at Xcel Energy Center on 11/26.

--Minnesota finishes the regular season at St. Louis against their division rival on 4/11.

--12/16 in Chicago is the first time the Wild will face the Blackhawks, who beat them in six games in the Western Conference Semifinals.
