Hockey playoffs are here, which means it's time for all the hockey players in the world to tell us how tough they are and how soft basketball players are. It's a yearly tradition unlike any other and it's as regular of an occurrence as are the Swallows of Capistrano each year. (Can you tell I'm a basketball guy?)
But on this day, this day only, they have a point.
In last night's game between the San Jose Sharks and the Vegas Golden Knights, Sharks captain Joe Pavelski scored a goal...OF OF HIS FACE! Like seriously, the shot ricocheted off of his face, past the goalie and into the back of the net! It ended up knocking out a few teeth, but just ask all the hockey tough guys and they'll tell you it was worth it to score the goal.
