Just when you thought that this whole situation surrounding the Vikings and their tumultuous special teams was as strange as it could get after Vedvik's release on Saturday, Sunday one upped the entirety of the ordeal.
Late Sunday afternoon the Vikings announced they had signed yet another new punter, releasing Matt Wile and brought a kicker in to be a part of the team's practice squad.
Britton Colquitt, 34, punted for the Browns last season averaging 45.2 yards per punt for Cleveland. He's also known to be a very reliable field goal holder which the Vikings have had struggles with of late.
In addition, the Vikings signed rookie kicker Chase McLaughlin to the practice squad.
