Ladies and gentlemen, we're getting the gang back together!
Following the new of an extended injury to Chad Beebe, the team's third wideout and punt returner, the Vikings decided it was time to act and bring back some familiar faces to TCO.
The team confirmed this afternoon that they have re-signed wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and CB Marcus Sherels while placing Beebe on the Injured Reserve list.
Treadwell was cut by the team in training camp while Marcus Sherels signed on with the New Orleans Saints before reaching an injury settlement with the team and being released at the beginning of the month.
While Treadwell will bring both familiarity with the offense and depth to the wide receivers, Sherels will be primarily responsible for his old special teams roles of punt returning and coverage.
