Amidst reports of optimism early in the week surrounding the injured hamstring of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen, we got a bit of bad news Wednesday afternoon as the official injury reports for Thursday's game against the Washington Redskins was released.
According to Mike Zimmer and the official Vikings twitter account, Adam Thielen will be ruled OUT of Thursday's game missing his first action of the 2019 season.
On the season, Thielen has reeled in 27 passes for 391 yards and 6 touchdowns. It was after his most recent touchdown, a back of the endzone diving grab against Detroit, that Thielen landed awkwardly and came off the field with the help of the trainers.
Early in the week he was seeing more practice action that anybody had originally thought, but at the end of the day it was dubbed more valuable to hold him out for of tomorrow's game to heal up for the rest of the season.
