BREAKING: The Vikings have placed the franchise tag on S Anthony Harris

In what can only be considered a surprise move, the Minnesota Vikings have opted to use some of their new found free agency money and have used the franchise tag on safety Anthony Harris which will keep in Minnesota or give them the opportunity to trade him.

The number for franchise tagging a safety is right around $11-$12 million dollars and puts a lot of money on the back end of the Vikings defense with he and Harrison Smith.
