Details released on Riley Reiff's Restructured Contract

It was dominating the headlines earlier this week but in direct response to the Vikings trading to acquire DE Yannick Ngakoue the Vikings successfully renegotiated the contract of offensive lineman Riley Reiff.

Reiff, who signed a 5-year, $58.75 million contract with the Vikings in 2017 was set to make around $11 million in 2020, that was until the team approached him about restructuring.

According to Ian Rapoport, the details of that new restructure are out and Reiff took a MASSIVE pay cut to stick with the Vikings.

So a $5MM paycut in 2020 as he drops from $11MM to $6MM in salary with an additional opportunity to bump that up ner $8MM with incentives.

Keeping Reiff does leave the Vikings with much needed experience on the offensive line and good leadership in the locker room retaining a captain from 2019.
