Rumors of a re-vote on the future of the 2020-2021 BIG TEN Football season have been swirling this weekend. That fire was stoked on Tuesday when the President of the University of Nebraska Ted Carter was caught on a hot mic before a press conference saying "We're getting ready to announce the Huskers and Big Ten football tonight."
That announcement didn't come Tuesday night, but Wednesday morning sources began surfacing again with details surrounding the league's plan to kickoff the season late in October.
According to Pete Thamel, one of the lead College Football writers for Yahoo Sports, an announcement is immenent, likely Wednesday that the Big Ten will begin their conference season October 24th, implementing daily rapid testing of all players and staff.
