COVID outbreak closes Minnesota Wild facilities, games postponed #KFANWild

(St. Paul, MN) -- The Minnesota Wild are putting all team activities on hold through at least February 9th, which includes the team's next four scheduled games. The news comes after the league announced Wednesday that the Wild has added five more players to the COVID-19 protocol. Nick Bjugstad, Marcus Johansson, Jared Spurgeon, Nick Bonino, and Joel Eriksson Ek have joined Marcus Foligno in self-quarantine. Minnesota is also without Matt Dumba, Mats Zuccarello, and Alex Stalock, due to injuries.

Four games, one more against Colorado, two against Arizona and one against St. Louis will likely be rescheduled in the future.

The team’s training facilities have been closed, effective immediately, and will remain so until further notice. The League is in the process of reviewing and revising the Wild’s regular season schedule.

The Wild organization has, and will continue to follow, all recommended guidelines aimed at protecting the health and safety of its Players, staff and community at large as set by the NHL, local, state and national agencies.
