It's easy to get swept up in the Minnesota Vikings 0-2 start and find holes in their armor. The offense wasn't clicking, the defense was porous, there were too many mistakes. We all talked about it for two solid weeks.

On Sunday, in front of the home crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium, the Vikings cleaned almost all of those things up and brought home their first victory of the season.

"We all want to cover everything," Vikings safety Harrison Smith told KFAN after the game. "We just settled down and did our job. Got back to Vikings Defense."

That Vikings defense got off to a slow start yielding 17 points to Seattle through the first 19 minutes of the game. Then they clamped down, buckled up and didn't allow another point to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks offense. Something that the Vikings have struggled to do during Harrison Smith's career.

"That was my first time beating him," Smith said of the win over Wilson. "He's great at creating and great at half. The offense helping us at the end of the first half (and end of game) so we didn't have a 2 min with Russel".
