It’s that time of year once again! Time to vow to make changes, to right the wrongs from the year before and to in generally better ourselves as we look to the future. Sure, it’s already January 17th so you might be behind the eight-ball a bit on some of your real-life resolutions, but the 2017 “league year” doesn’t turn in the NFL until March 9th, so in actuality we’re working ahead here with this one!

Since we’re all in this together I thought it would be a good idea to have a little brainstorm session and highlight a few potential new league year resolutions that we Vikings fans could make so that the 2017 season ends up going a little smoother than 2016 finished out.

So without further adieu, here are 5 New Year’s Resolutions that Vikings Fans should make and keep right now…

  1. Get Out And Meet New People…We all appreciate the 53 men that made up the Minnesota Vikings roster in 2016 but it was clearly not enough. Despite getting off to a 5-0 start, they were not enough to win the division, not enough to make the playoffs and clearly not enough to make it to the promise land and bring the purple to the Super Bowl. There are vast holes on the offensive line, questions among the defensive backs and looming concerns about the running game that need to be addressed as the new league year kicks off. Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman is already compiling a list of potential candidates for hire, so why shouldn’t we as well! The best part, some of these upcoming free agents are still playing in the playoffs and we can watch them this coming weekend! The Vikings will have a decent amount of money to play around with heading into the free agency period so it would behoove us to become familiar with some and start rallying around the cause. Might I introduce you to Luke Joeckel, Sebastian Vollmer or Mike Remmers…get to know em!
