The Iowa Wild extended its franchise-best road win streak to nine games with two road shutout wins last week. The nine game road win streak is tied for the longest in the AHL in the last five years.
The Wild earned a 3-0 win against the Monsters on Friday at Quicken Loans Arena (2/3). F Teemu Pulkkinen led the team with two points (1-1=2) while forwards Mario Lucia and Christoph Bertschy also scored a goal each. G Alex Stalock recorded his third shutout of the season, stopping all 28 shots. Iowa took a 1-0 overtime shutout victory against Cleveland on Saturday (2/4). F Zack Mitchell netted the game-winner with an assist from F Sam Anas. G Steve Michalek registered his first shutout of the season, making all 17 saves. Pulkkinen leads Iowa with 30 points (14-16=30) in 38 games this season while also leading the team in goals. Cannone (6-16=22) and Lucia (9-13=22) rank T-2nd with 22 points each. D Gustav Olofsson ranked fourth with 21 points (5-16=21) at the time of his recall (2/8). Stalock is 15-10-4 with a 2.47 GAA, a .919 SV% and three shutouts in 30 games and ranks T-3rd amongst league goalies in shutouts, sixth in minutes played (1,698) and T-6th in wins. Michalekis 9-9-1 with a 2.53 GAA, a .922 SV% and one shutout in 21 games and ranks T-7th amongst AHL goalies in SV%.
The Wild is 10-1-2-0 in its last 13 games, including a current six-game win streak and currently sits in fourth place in the Central Division.
