Twins Trade Pat Light to Pittsburgh

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have traded right-handed pitcher Pat Light to Pittsburgh for cash considerations.

Light was designated for assignment on February 6 when the Twins claimed Ehire Adrianza off waivers. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder was 0-1, 9.00 ERA in 15 relief appearances for the Twins after being acquired from Boston on July 31 in exchange for left-handed pitcher Fernando Abad.

Additionally, first baseman Byung Ho Park has cleared waivers and been assigned outright to Triple-A Rochester.  Park will receive an invitation to major league Spring Training.

The Twins now have 62 players (22 non-roster) players reporting to major league camp.
