Pittsburgh Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby has been in the conversation for "best player in the game," since the day he was drafted. Comparisons to players such as Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky have followed him the entirety of his career, and while some of the numbers still lean heavily in the favor of Lemieux and Gretzky, Crosby did tally an epic milestone Thursday night.
Working hard to get the puck, Crosby dished it to Chris Kunitz who it fired it past Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck for a goal, giving the Penguins Captain the assist and, more importantly, his 1,000th career point.
Crosby is the 11th-youngest player to ever hit the 1,000 point mark.
