The show Stranger Things became a smash-hit on Netflix after its debut last year and suddenly adaptations of author Stephen King's works have become the rage. With the success that Stranger Things has seen on Netflix, Hulu is looking to have similar success when they launch their King-fueled show, Castle Rock.
No release date has been set yet for Castle Rock and admittedly the teaser trailer below gives little to no indication as to what the series will be about or what characters the series will follow but, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Castle Rock will be an anthology series that brings together the characters and themes of King's works that involve Castle Rock. The anthology will weave together characters and themes from those novels and each season will follow a different set of characters and storylines while interjecting themes and specific characters from previous seasons.
I don't know if Castle Rock will be as good as Stranger Things, but I will be certainly be binge-watching first chance I get.
