Canucks' Edler Scores From Center Ice With Crazy Knuckle-Puck

Vancouver Canucks Defenseman Alex Edler has been watching too much of D2: The Mighty Ducks. At least, that's what one would assume after he broke out a signature shot from that movie Tuesday night. Not only did he break it out, but he scored with it.

Edler broke out a knuckle-puck from center-ice, completely fooling Calgary Flames goalie Brian Elliot who attempted to make the save but could not get a read on where the puck was going to be.

Likely an unintentional shot, but at least Edler can say he scored a goal with a knuckle-puck, and there are few players in the NHL that can say that.
