Northwestern With The Buzzer-Beater Of The Year To Knock Off Michigan

Buzzer beating shots are perhaps the most exciting moments in college basketball, especially when it comes to the NCAA Tournament in March. While the tournament has not arrived just yet, the buzzer beaters have and Northwestern provided perhaps the buzzer beater of the year Wednesday night as they defeated the Michigan Wolverines 67-65.

With just 1.7 seconds remaining in the game Nathan Taphorn threw a perfectly timed and placed full-court pass to Dererk Pardon who dropped the lay-up in as time expired. Not only did it give the Wildcats a thrilling win over a conference foe, it also all but sealed their berth in the NCAA Tournament.
