It was 11 years ago today that the baseball world and the state of Minnesota said goodbye to a legend as former Minnesota Twins center fielder Kirby Puckett passed away.
Puckett was a complicated figure in that he was an incredible baseball player but was faced with sexual assault accusations and other legal issues off the field, leading many fans to become split on their opinion of the former Twin.
Puckett passed away after suffering a stroke at the age of 45.
