Having taken free agent offensive tackle Riley Reiff off the market, the Minnesota Vikings made a play for free agent tackle Russell Okung, only to get beaten by the San Diego Chargers.
According to Josina Anderson, the Chargers and Okung have agreed to a four-year deal worth $53 million with $25 million guaranteed.
Okung was one of the top free agent offensive tackles available but, because he was represented by himself, he was not allowed to contact teams (and vice versa) until free agency officially began.
