Remmers, who originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Denver in 2012, brings 4 years and 38 games (37 starts) of NFL experience to the Vikings. The Portland, Oregon native has made 42 consecutive starts for Carolina, including five during the Panthers 2014 and 2015 playoff runs. He made 19 starts at RT during the 2015-16 seasons before switching to the left side for the final 13 games of 2016. Remmers spent the end of the 2013 season and 2014 offseason with the Vikings before he joined the St. Louis Rams practice squad prior to Week 1. He has also spent time with Denver, Tampa Bay and San Diego.
