Minnesota Wild Reassigns Gustav Olofsson to Iowa

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned defenseman Gustav Olofsson (pronounced GOO-stahv OH-lawf-suhn) to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Olofsson, 22 (12/1/94), has recorded three assists and averaged 13:28 in TOI/game in 13 contests with Minnesota this season and 22 points (5-17=22) in 48 games with Iowa. He ranks second in scoring amongst Iowa defensemen. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound native of Boras, Sweden, registered his first career NHL points with two assists on Feb. 12 vs. Detroit. Olofsson owns three assists in 15 career NHL games with Minnesota and has collected 40 points (8-32=40) in 109 career AHL games.

Minnesota hosts the Vancouver Canucks Saturday at 1 p.m. CT on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.
