The Minnesota Vikings have reportedly extended veteran defensive end Brian Robison through the 2018 season.

According to NFL Insider Field Yates, Robison took a $1.4 million pay cut for the 2017 season to extend his contract an additional year.

Robison was set to make up to $5.6 million in 2017 and had a base salary of $5.3 million; Robison will now make $3.9 million next year and, while his $100,000 workout bonus is still intact, his $200,000 in per-game roster bonuses for 2017 have been removed.

Robison is coming off a 2016 campaign in which the 33-year old racked up 28 combined tackles, 7.5 sacks, one pass defensed and three forced fumbles.
