Giants Pitcher Madison Bumgarner Made History Yesterday By Hitting Two Opening Day Home Runs

Pitchers pitch and hitters hit, that's how it has always been. Pitchers in the MLB have a reputation for not being able to hit, however, San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner is flipping that script.

Sunday was Opening Day for the Giants as they took on Zach Greinke and the Arizona Diamondbacks, and while the Diamondbacks may have secured the win with some late runs, Bumgarner did make some history before all was said and done.

The Giants starting pitcher blasted not one but TWO home runs Sunday becoming the first pitcher in history to hit two runs on Opening Day. Surely Bumgarner would have preferred the win, but a place in history can't be a bad consolation prize.
