He is the arguably the biggest and best free agent remaining on the market and he still remains unsigned.

For former Minnesota Viking running back Adrian Peterson, free agency has not been very kind as he has had visits with just two teams and, with April having arrived and the NFL Draft right around the corner, the former All-Pro is still searching for a new team.

On Monday Peterson met with the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots in hopes of landing in the backfield behind Tom Brady. For the time being at least, that will not be the case.

According to NFL Insider Field Yates, Peterson left his visit with the Patriots on Monday without a contract, however, Yates made sure to note that the two could potentially revisit talks later.

After the Vikings signed Latavius Murray, it was clear that Peterson's future in the purple and gold was over. Now we are just anxiously waiting to see which jersey he'll be donning come week one of the 2017-18 season.
