Well, it took a while but it appears as if former Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has found a new home and oddly enough it's with a team that should be very familiar with his strengths and weaknesses.

According to multiple reports and sources close to the team the New Orleans Saints are set to sign a deal to bring Adrian Peterson into a backfield already occupied by Mark Ingram and Drew Brees.

Peterson met with the Saints the other week but left New Orleans with no deal. That said, word was that the meeting went well and the two sides were set to stay in contact which apparently meant ironing out the final details of a deal to bring in the 32 year old running back.

Funny enough, as we learned last week, the Minnesota Vikings open the 2017 season at home with a Monday Night Football game against none other than Adrian Peterson and those New Orleans Saints.

Reports this week claim that if New Orleans was the right fit, Peterson would be willing to play for $5 million or less. Apparently New Orleans was the right fit.
