Vikings Exercise Fifth-Year Option On LB Anthony Barr

Eden Prairie, MN (May 1, 2017) – The Minnesota Vikings have exercised the fifth-year option on LB Anthony Barr. 

Barr has started all 42 games in which he has appeared and helped lead the NFL’s 3rd-ranked defense (314.9 ypg) in 2016. The ninth overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft, Barr has been selected to the Pro Bowl each of the past two seasons and has collected 270 career tackles along with 9.5 sacks and 14 TFLs.
