So a guy bites into an M&Ms bar and MOTHER OR PEARL, WHAT IS THAT IN THERE!?!

Let me set the scene here for you...

The place...Melbourne, Australia.

The weapon of choice...a crispy mint M&Ms chocolate bar...LOADED WITH A COCKROACH!

A COCKROACH YOU GUYS!

Look at this thing...

How in the?

The guy who purchased this candy bar ate four pieces before noticing the GIANT insect burrowing into his stash. He posted the picture to Facebook claiming he had tried to contact M&Ms Australia several times but had not received a return call.

But this is where Mars Chocolate Australia stepped in to set the record straight.

"We immediately contacted him to request the product and also worked with an entomologist to conduct a preliminary review to determine the insect’s species and origin," the spokesperson said.

"This review has found the insect did not enter the packaging prior to being shipped from our manufacturing facility, as this species does not occur in the region where the product was manufactured.

"Given each block of chocolate we manufacture undergoes 31 quality checks and safety tests, and microbiological testing before it is packaged and shipped, it is extremely likely it entered the product packaging after it was opened."

Seems like a logical explanation, but it doesn't stop there...our socially aware shopper fired back saying...

"If it went in after I ate the initial four pieces then when I went to have more, don't you think it would have crawled out as soon as I picked it up? Why would the thing be dead then?"

In a game of he said she said like this, how do you sort it out? M&Ms and Mars are going to get dragged through the mud anyways, so settle up and send this guy a bunch of chocolate.
