Vikings place RB Latavius Murray on ACTIVE/PUP list to start Training Camp

According to an official release from the team, the Minnesota Vikings have placed veteran running back Latavius Murray on the ACTIVE/PUP list to start Training Camp in Mankato, MN beginning today.

The move is thought to be more of a precautionary measure given his current injury status (surgery during the offseason) but what it does mean is that in the battle for the starting running back position he will continue to lose time to both the young rookie Dalvin Cook as well as the veteran incumbent Jerick McKinnon.

Joining Murray on the preseason ACTIVE/PUP is rookie LB Shaan Washington.

DT Sharrif Floyd was placed on the ACTIVE Non-Football Injury list.

Having been placed on the preseason ACTIVE/PUP list either player can be "activated" at any time during the preseason.

No designation has to be made on QB Teddy Bridgewater until Thursday morning since he does not report to camp for his first practice until then.
