Alarms began sounding at Minnehaha academy early Wednesday morning after summer school teachers and staffers started smelling gas. Shortly thereafter, an explosion occurred causing portions of the roof to collapse in the middle part of the building.
Injuries have been reported and as of the posting of this article there are reportedly three people who remain unaccounted for. Sources have confirmed that while staff and teachers were present a handful of students were also in the building for summer school classes, most were in the gym or lower level when the explosion occurred.
