Pat Shurmur is the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings now, but he was on the cusp of a Lombardi trophy as the QB's coach for the Philadelphia Eagles when they met up with the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX(following the 2004 season)!!
Donovan McNabb, an injured Terrell Owens and the dynamic Brian Westbrook fell just short of a Super Bowl ring after being tied at 14 heading into the 4th Quarter, before the Patriots scored 10 straight and won 24-21.
Shurmur took a few minutes to recall the "close but no cigar" game for him and the Eagles.
