(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Golden Gophers scored 21 points in the fourth quarter but the upset bid fell short as they were clipped by 22nd-ranked Michigan State 30-27 in Minneapolis. Trailing 23-6 after three, Demry Croft connected with Tyler Johnson for a trio of scores in the final quarter before falling short. Minnesota fell to 3-and-3 overall and 0-and-3 in Big Ten play. The Gophers are back to work this week as they prepare to welcome Illinois.
