The Wild Card bye week did a lot of good for the Minnesota Vikings who were able to heal up many of their lingering injuries from the long and violent NFL regular season. Rudolph was able to get healthy and return to a full participant, Pat Elflein able to do the same, but one Vikings player took a turn to negative town with a downgrade on the Thursday afternoon injury report.
Veteran CB Terence Newman did not practice today after being limited on Wednesday with a foot injury. We'll have to wait until Friday to get the final ruling on Newman's status but it would be a loss if he is unable to go on Sunday versus the Saints.
