Unknown sea monster washes on the shore at Georgia beach...

These sorts of things fascinate me.

The ocean is a gigantic place, most of it we don't know what the heck is going on. There are some species that we know about, probably more that we don't and then a bunch of different mutations and amalgamations that could trick us.

So when something like this washes up on the beach of the ocean in Georgia people freak out. Check out the latest video of an "unknown creature" that was discovered...

So what in the world is this thing?

According to a reporter from National Geographic who spoke with some experts, we're not quite sure.

Here's what they've said...

“It looks like a deep-sea shark, like a frilled shark. Although I don’t see gill slits,” Chantal Audra from the Tybee Island Marine Science Center said.

“That could easily be faked. We think someone’s playing a joke on us,” says marine biologist Quinton White from Jacksonville University. “We’ve never seen anything like it. There aren’t really signs of decomposition, and it looks remarkably intact.”

“I am convinced the ‘sea creature’ is a constructed model of a baby Altamaha-ha Monster,” says John “Crawfish” Crawford, a naturalist at the University of Georgia Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant.
