It was late in the first period and the Wild were already on a one-man advantage, but it should have been more. I really don't know how it wasn't.
Check out the video below as Josh Morrissey cross-checked Eric Staal in the side of the head and went completely uncalled by four refs on the ice.
Winnipeg would go on to stop the power play that was stalled as Staal slowly made his way off the ice and would score shortly thereafter. Staal did not return the rest of the first period.
Fans immediately took to Twitter ripping the officials. Even Minnesota hockey great Lou Nanne sounded off...
And no surprise, MN Wild coach Bruce Boudreau was none too pleased...
