Vikings release details on Training Camp 2018 at TCO Performance Center

For the first time in more than 50 years, the Minnesota Vikings will not be holding their annual Training Camp in Mankato, MN. This year's camp will be the first of many to be held at the team's new headquarters Twin Cities Orthopedic Performance Center in Eagan, MN.

With the first experience at the new facility, there are expected to be some new protocols for the event as well. Today, the Vikings offered up some of the first details surrounding this year's upcoming Training Camp.

"Given the entirely new experience surrounding the 2018 Minnesota Vikings Training Camp, it is extremely important for our franchise to communicate early and often with our fans. The emerging vision for what we can do at the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center in Eagan will certainly bring tremendous energy and excitement to this region and provide a fantastic experience for Vikings fans. We look forward to formally announcing our training camp plans in early June."

 - Minnesota Vikings Chief Operating Officer Kevin Warren

Training Camp 2018 will begin as rookies report on Tuesday, July 24th with their first practice scheduled for Wednesday, July 25th. Veterans will report to camp that Friday, July 27th and the first full team practice is scheduled for Saturday, July 28th.

As always, training camp will be open to the public but because of anticipated high demand, there will be a daily capacity employed this season. While the final capacity has not yet been determined it is expected to be approximately 5,000 per day and capacity may increase slightly for night practices.

With the newly enforced capacity limits, fans must reserve tickets in advance at Tickets will be free, but there will be no access without a ticket. Season Ticket members will have first availability at tickets with the remainder going to the general public. Further details surrounding the tickets are still being worked out.

While there will be general admission tickets available for free as previously mentioned, the Vikings are exploring the idea of offering reserved and upgraded seating & experiences at a cost. No final decisions have been made on this.

The team is still finalizing a plan for parking and shuttles to get to and from training camp at TCO.

As in years past, there are still plans to continue offering daily autograph sessions by position groups.

A full training camp schedule will be released at a future date.
