Calm down everybody, the IHOP change to IHOB is only temporary, sort of...

Last week during the NBA Finals, breakfast restaurant chain International House of Pancakes (IHOP) teased that they would be changing their name to IHOB, with a B. With speculation running wild over the weekend, we got our answer on what the "B" stood for this morning with an announcement on social media.

IHOP was changing it's name to the International House of Burgers (IHOB)...

Flipping from all breakfast too all burgers seemed like a bit of a drastic change, we found out shortly after that's not exactly what they're doing.

According to Business Insider, IHOP is only temporarily calling themselves IHOB in a marking play to bring attention to the burgers that will be added to their menu IN ADDITION TO their breakfast offerings.

From the Business Insider story, "The message behind the IHOb madness is the launch of the chain's Ultimate Steakburgers, a seven-burger lineup that includes options like the Big Brunch Burger, the Cowboy BBQ Burger, and the double-decker Mega Monster Burger. For a limited time, the burgers are available at IHOP locations with unlimited fries and a drink starting at $6.99."

Unlimited fries?? Steakburgers??? $6.99???
