(Washington, DC) -- Top players from the National and American League square off tonight in the MLB All-Star Game in Washington, DC. Nationals ace Max Scherzer and Red Sox ace Chris Sale will start the Midsummer Classic for their respective leagues for the second straight year. They also started last year's game in Miami, which the AL won 2-1 in 10 innings on a home run by Seattle's Robinson Cano. It's Sale's third straight All-Star start for the AL. The NL squad features hometown star and 2018 Home Run Derby champion Bryce Harper of the Nationals. The all-time series is 43-43-and-2.
Pitcher Jose Berrios will be the Twins' lone representative. Berrios earned his first career All-Star appearance after going 9-and-7 with a 3.68 ERA in 20 starts in the first half of the season.
