Along the sidelines at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center at Minnesota Vikings Training Camp you'll see a few familiar faces from time to time. Last week, Timberwolves rookie guard Josh Okogie stopped by to take it all in. Later on today players from the Tottenham Hotspur soccer team will be on hand. But this morning, for the team's morning walk-thru a familiar face strolled by and made his way onto the practice field with the Vikings scouting staff.
Former Vikings fullback Jerome Felton was back in Minnesota today as part of a week long internship that he is partaking in with the Vikings scouting department.
Doing his patented drive-by interviews on the sidelines as the players walked out onto the field, Paul Allen caught up with Felton briefly and asked him how he found his way back to Minnesota and the Vikings.
"Actually I'm doing a week long internship with the scouting department," Felton told KFAN. "I kind of want to get my feet wet and explore this side of it."
Jerome signed up for the Nunn-Wooten internship program earlier this year and and George Paton called him up for an invite.
"George gave me a call a few months ago and asked me if I wanted to come here. I enjoyed my time here in Minnesota, it's good to be back."
Felton has been shadowing the scouting department this week and has been assigned the running backs and wide receivers to evaluate while he's on hand.
