P.J. Fleck and the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team got off to a quick start Thursday night opening up a 35-10, 25-point lead over the New Mexico State Aggies at home. But it wasn't always Gophers in command.

At the end of the first quarter the Gophers found themselves trailing the the Aggies 10-7 after getting off to a slow start with freshman quarterback Zach Annexstad under center.

But the second quarter was a different story.

In the second frame, Minnesota got rolling in all phases of the game and scored 28 unanswered points behind the arm of Annexstad, the legs of Smith, the hands of Johnson and the return ability of Winfield.
