If by some miracle you've avoided all of the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) fever this week we need to talk. As for me and my people, it's all I've been hearing about. My wife is obsessed with them, my coworkers can't stop talking about them and as of this past Tuesday, Starbucks has launched their PSLs for 2018 in the middle of the month of August.
Doh-kay.
I'm not a fan of the old PSL, but Starbucks doesn't care what I think because they are flying off the shelves already and all the Ashlays and Hillarys are sharing their fall themed drink on Twitter and Instagram left and right. Either of the phrases Pumpkin Spice Latte or PSL has been trending all stinking week long.
Well, now we have the data to show which state in the union is most obsessed with ye old PSL and it's not even freaking close.
The fine folks over at TheDaringKitchen.com compiled data from more than 100,000 tweets that rolled in over the span of just THE FIRST DAY of PSLs and geotagged them getting the results below.
The Top 5 States include:
1. Tennessee
2. West Virginia
3. Washington
4. Oregon
5. Indiana
If the line I waited in at Starbucks here in Minnesota was any indication, Minnesota is actually in that top 5 as well, we're just too humble to tweet about it non-stop...right?
