In what was a surprise move for the Vikings, the lone successful waiver claim the Vikings have claimed punter Matt Wile from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Subsequently, the team has released punter Ryan Quigley for a corresponding roster move.
Quigley was a stud for the team last year setting a team record for most punts inside the 20 without a touchback going through what might have been the entire regular season without a touchback.
Quigley wasn’t his sharpest during the preseason but I would still classify the move as a bit of a surprise given last success.
