Minnesota Wild Opens Training Camp Sept. 14 at Xcel Energy Center

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Paul Fenton announced today the National Hockey League (NHL) club will open its 2018 training camp on Friday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. at Xcel Energy Center. The team will hold an open practice for fans at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 9 to 11 a.m. as part of the "Flood The Rink" events taking place that day. Fans can enter Xcel Energy Center through Gates 1 and 2 beginning at 8:45 a.m.    

Minnesota also announced its training camp roster and schedule today. The Wild's training camp roster currently consists of 42 players, with additions coming from players participating in the 2018 NHL Prospect Tournament in Traverse City, Mich. Player medical examinations and fitness testing will take place the morning of Sept. 13. 


   Preseason tickets are on sale now at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. Minnesota Wild regular season single-game tickets will go on sale at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office, and at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster (800-745-3000 or ticketmaster.com). Minnesota opens the 2018-19 regular season at Colorado on Oct. 4 and hosts the Vegas Golden Knights in the home opener on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center.
